We aim to conserve biodiversity in Madagascar by supporting the livelihoods of rural people in forest-bordering communities and through collaborations with researchers, local environmental organizations, and governmental institutions □ This summer, we will be updating our social media community on our SAVA conservation projects twice a month for Madagascar Mondays, so be sure to follow us to learn more about what we're doing to save the lemurs and their forest friends! □ □: Sara Sorraia, taken at Parc Ivoloina in Madagascar. To create sustainable alternatives, the DLC-SAVA and our CURSA collaborators are leading workshops on chicken husbandry with farmers to improve productivity. Happy Madagascar Monday! Today we want to highlight some of our agroecology work and how helping local Malagasy communities goes hand-in-hand with protecting lemurs □ □ Hunting lemurs and other wildlife for meat is a key threat to their conservation.
